Have you noticed how bland your
cell phone faceplates are that are on the phone when you get it new?

Well if you've had your cell phone for quite a while, you may be tired of looking at it. But, if you don’t want to spend the money to get a new cell phone, you do have some other options.

You can get different cell phone faceplates to give your phone a totally new look, and add a little of your own personality in the process.

It does not matter which model you have.  You can find cell phone faceplates in many different colors or with great designs. Some come in plain colors like pink, silver, or blue, or you can find any number of designs. They even have them with your favorite sports team logo.

Another great place to look for cell phone faceplates is on eBay. If you narrow the search down to your specific phone model and search through what is available, you can probably find some great faceplates.

Even the older model of phones will have faceplates listed on eBay. Many of these will be a great deal, and shipping is fast.

Want something totally different? Not just a new cell phone faceplates, well you can also find what is referred to as cell phone bling.

These are usually crystals or rhinestones that you can fix to your faceplate. Some come in already made up structured designs, or you can make up your own by placing individual stones where you want them.

You need to use care when changing cell phone faceplates. Some will require a tiny Phillips head screwdriver to get your existing plate off your phone. Don’t lose the screws.  They are very hard to find replacements for. And of course be careful of the hardware inside your phone.

When you lift off the old cell phone faceplates, check to see if anything is glued to it, or pops out of place. Try not to damage your phone. The warranty may not cover this type of damage. As such you will need to attend to these details when you replace the faceplate.

When you put your phone back together check to insure that it is working properly. If your phone doesn’t seem to be working correctly after you have changed cell phone faceplates, you may have to take it in for repair.

It is better to take it into the repair shop. You don't want to risk further damage by trying to fix it yourself. You may have to pay for these repairs, but it is better than paying for a new phone.

In the event you don’t feel like you can replace cell phone faceplates yourself without causing damage, see if the repair-shop can do it for you.

Again, there may be a fee, but that is better than destroying your phone. As an added bonus, not only will cell phone faceplates change the look of your phone, but it may make it less attractive to thieves. A bright pink phone with butterflies on it, may not be someone’s first choice if they are looking to steal a phone.

The bonus when changing cell phone faceplates is that now you have a phone with the looks that you want.  Not something that the factory decided to stick on the phone because it was less expensive.
